It is the most Northern region in Burgos province and presents a mixture of valleys, forests, rivers, waterfalls and caves, together with Romanic churches, palaces and castles.
Our Association proposes a guided tour around the interesting compound of Medina de Pomar, where two buildings stand out: the Monastery of Santa Clara, and the History Museum of the Merindades, located in the Old Alcazar of the Velascos family from the 14th century and also known as “The Towers”.
Another mandatory visit is the Romanic art in Mena Valley where the temples of St. Mary of Siones and St. Lorenzo Vallejo de Mena are highlighted.
